Agustin Chapa, Sr., age 90 of Gary, IN passed away Friday, September 29, 2017.  He is survived by 3 children: Mario Chapa, Frank (Sandra) Chapa and Lucille Gonzalez; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by parents, Augustin Chapa and Maria de la Luz; wife, Maria C. Chapa; son, Augustine Chapa; siblings: Adolfo, Eduardo, Francisco, Beatriz, Aurora, Isabel and Felicidad.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. James the Less Church, 9640 Kennedy Avenue, Highland, IN with Rev. Keith M. Virus officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 2, 2017.  Prayer services will be 5:30 pm on Monday.
