Alejandro Salazar, age 84 of East Chicago, IN passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017. Alejandro was born in Palmdale, CA and he was formerly of San Luis Potosi, Mexico.  He is survived by 4 children: Ana (Fernando) Perez, Jaime (Sheryl) Salazar, Eva (Steven) Castillo and Hilda (Michael) Cooper; 10 grandchildren: Adrian, Eric and Joel Perez, Michael and Maggie Moore and Jaime Salazar, Vivien, Evan and David Castillo and Amanda Cooper; 2 great grandchildren: Jillian Koon and Cason Salazar; brother, Daniel (Felipa) Salazar; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Salazar; parents, Alejandro and Candida Salazar; 4 sisters.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.  Rev. Nestor Varon will hold services at 5:00 pm on Friday.
