Helen J. Zajac (nee Carlson), age 67 of East Chicago, IN passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at home.  She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James G. Zajac; son, John J. (Tiffiny) Ulman; 2 grandchildren, John V and Kayla Ulman; sister, Doris (late David) Matthews; sister in-law, Dolores (late Edward) Carlson; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by parent, Gus and Helen Carlson; brothers, Gus and Edward Carlson; sister, Lorraine Carlson.

Helen was the love of Jame’s life.  “ We were soul mates.”
