Hilda (Martinez) Hernandez, age 72 of East Chicago, IN passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017.  She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Rafael Hernandez; 3 children: Santiago (Ixchel) Hernandez, Juan Carlos Hernandez and Gisela (Eduardo) Quiñones; 3 grandchildren: Sofia, Lucia and Roman Quiñones; siblings: Genoveva (Ramiro Duran) Martinez, Alma Martinez, Maria de la Luz (Gildardo Serna) Martinez and Emigdio (Laura Hernandez) Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.j  Preceded in death by siblings, Carlos Martinez, Sergio Martinez, Heriberto Martinez and Nara Martinez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1445 Hoffman Street, Hammond, IN with Rev. Erlin Y. Garcia officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of Mass at the Church on Thursday morning.
