John J. Orlich, age 87 of Crown Point, formerly of Highland and East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the William J. Riley Memorial Hospice Residence, Munster,IN.  He is survived by sister, Florence (late John) Verbich; brother, Dan (Kay) Orlich; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his wife, Ann Orlich in 1989; parents, Dominic and Mary Orlich; special friend, Jan Ulbrich; sister, Valerie Orlich; brother, William Orlich.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Patrick J. Kalich officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Friends may meet with the family from 9:00 am until time of service on Monday morning at the funeral home.

John retired from Union Tank Company, he was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran, he volunteered at the Shrine of Christ's Passion in St. John, IN and he loved bowling and painting.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the William J.
