Jose Morales, age 66, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016.  Jose is survived by his loving wife, Margarita; daughter, Cecilia (Fermin) Padilla; 2 sons:  Jose de Jesus Morales and Carlos (Jessica) Morales; step-children:  Laura (Eligio) Reyes, Sylvia Vargas, Peter Vargas, and David (Virginia) Vargas; grandchildren:  Erick Padilla (godchild), Fermin Padilla Jr., Jesus Edwin Padilla, Ricardo Vargas, Marcela (Juan Jr.) Martinez, Angelica Vargas, Estella Rodriguez, Martha (Gerardo) Hernandez, Ashley Vargas, Antoinette Vargas, Ariana Vargas, David Vargas, Jr., Juan Martinez III, Mariana Martinez, Cecilia Vargas, Angel Vargas and Adriana Vargas; brother, Francisco; sisters, Guadalupe, Juana and late Josefina; special sister in-law, Lucy Garcia; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by parents, Jesus Morales and Nasaria de la Cerda.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 beginning at 10:00 am at St. Stanislaus Church, 150th Street at Magoun Ave., East Chicago with Msgr.
