Josephine Govorchin (nee Pihulic), age 92 of East Chicago, IN passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at home.  She is survived by 3 sons, Marion, Jr., Michael and John Govorchin; 2 daughters, Liz Damjanovich and JoMarie Govorchin; granddaughter, Lauren Damjanovich.  Preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Marion Govorchin in March of 2016; parents, Joseph and Helen Pihulic.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Croatian Church, 4754 Carey Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Dennis Blaney officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Friends may meet with the family from 9:00 am until time of Mass at the Church on Saturday morning.

Josephine was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Holy Trinity Croatian Church and the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #154.  She was avid bowler for many years and a Chicago Cubs fan.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Fr.
