Mark C. Reffkin, age 62, of Hammond, IN passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016.  He is survived by siblings: Deborah (Gerald) Joppek of Michigan City, IN, John (Marcy) Reffkin of Gulf Shores, AL, Thomas (Nancy Kuzma) Reffkin of Munster, IN, Lisa A. Reffkin of Orlando, FL and Joseph Reffkin of Orlando, FL; spouse, companion and friend, Karen Starkey of Hammond, IN;  While Uncle Mark had no children, he leaves a slew of  nieces and nephews:  Jennifer (Terence), Lauren, Andrea (Tony), Claire, Kelcey, Samuel, Joseph, Hazel, Helena, Lucy and Sophie.  Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen (nee Galovic) Reffkin; and sister, Jeannette Reffkin.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday. April 17, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.
