Mary E. “Pancho” Barsic (nee Peterukitis), age 78 of Dyer, IN formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at home.  She is survived by her niece and caretaker, Rozann (David) O’Boy-Salle; several other nieces and nephews; 2 sisters-in-law; cousin, Joan (Bob) Frost; and much loved cat, Jazzy; Preceded in death by husband, Peter Barsic in 1989; and parents, Joseph and Mary Peterukitis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 beginning at 12:30 pm at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Drive, Dyer, IN with Rev. Charles W. Niblick officiating.  Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 2:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 20, 2017 and from 12:00 noon until time of Mass at the Church on Monday morning.
