Mary Anne Huss, age 74 of East Chicago, IN passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017.  She is survived by her brother, Richard Huss; nephew, David Huss; niece, Cynthia Huss. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Elizabeth (nee Lepucky) Huss; brothers, Casimir (late Lorraine) Huss and Stanley Huss.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Stanislaus Church, 808 W. 150th Street, East Chicago, IN with Msgr. John Siekierski officiating.  Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 and from 9:30 am until time of Mass at the Church on Thursday morning.  Prayer services will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday.

Mary Anne was a 1961 graduate of Bishop Noll Institute and held an Associate of Arts in General Education from St. Joseph’s Calumet College.  Mary Anne’s family would like to thank the staff and residents of the Countryside Nursing Home in Dolton, IL and Sanctuary Hospice where she spent the last 3 years of her life.  Mary Anne was an advocate for her special needs niece and loved her very much.  She was a wonderful sister and friend who enjoyed crocheting and her pet poodles, Daisy, Alphonso and Toby “Little Ceasar”.  Mary Anne was also proud that she crowned the Blessed Mother when she was at St. Mary’s Grade School in East Chicago.  To share a memory or send a permanent online condolence, logon to www.fifefuneralhome.com
