Miguel A. De La Torre, age 59 of Hammond, IN passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at home after a 2 year battle with cancer.  He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Ma. Antonia De La Torre; 3 children: Roberto De La Torre, Jorge (Jezell) De La Torre and Alfredo De La Torre; brothers and sisters: Ma. del Carmen, Josefina, Moises, Manuel, Maria, Chole, Augustin and Ofelia; many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1445 Hoffman Street, Hammond, IN with Rev. Erlin Y. Garcia officiating.  Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 and from 10:30 am until time of Mass at the Church on Thursday morning.

Miguel was a former employee of Industrial Steel Construction in Gary, IN and he loved hunting and fishing.  “He will always be in our hearts”.
