Minerva Ruiz, age 83 of East Chicago, IN passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016.  She is survived by 5 children: Blanca (Ronald) Tloczek, Enrique (Margarita) Ruiz, Carlos (Margie) Ruiz, Herman Ruiz and Dario “Lolly” (Lupe) Ruiz;  10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brother in-law, Dario (Maria) Ruiz; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by husband, Herminio Ruiz and sons, Gilberto and Javier Ruiz.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 9:15 am from the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN and 10:00 am Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, East Chicago, IN with Msgr. John Siekierski officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 23, 2016.
