Refugio “Cuco” Perez Fernandez, age 66 of East Chicago, IN passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at home.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Flora Rocha Fernandez; 8 children: Enrique (Erika) Fernandez, Jorje (Maria) Fernandez, Elizabeth (Daniel) Camacho, Rosa Fernandez, Griselda (J. Guadalupe) Barrera, Jesus (M. Patricia) Fernandez, Javier (Carmen) Fernandez and Alberto “Betito” Fernandez; 17 grandchildren: Julian, Christopher, Max Emilio, Steven, Marissa, Jasmin, Vida, Marcos, Vanessa, Cecilia, Enrique, Jr., Evelyn, Cassandra, Jacquelin, Elias, Samantha and Julissa; siblings: Maria, Gonzalo and Teresa; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 6, 2017.  Funeral and Burial will take place in San Antonio Ocampo, Michoacan, Mexico on Monday, January 23, 2017.
