Salvador M. “Quimico” “Chava” Bolaños, age 58 of East Chicago, IN passed away Monday, June 13, 2016.  He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debra R. (nee Martinez) Bolaños; 3 children: Mariela Bolaños, Salvador Alfonso (fiancée Jessica Vacco) Bolaños and Alejandra Bolaños; parents, Manuel and Guillermina Bolaños; siblings: Francisco, Hortencia, Mauricio, Maria, Juana and Jose; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by sister, Veronica.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Carlos Martinez officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 17, 2016 and from 9:30 am until time of Mass at the Church on Saturday morning.

Salvador was an employee at Arcelor Mittal Steel Company for over 30 years.  He was co-owner of Galaxy Travel in East Chicago and co-founder of Sociedad Cultural Y Civica La Reforma, Xel-Ha Escuela de Danza and Nosotros Us Magazine (Binge Magazine).  Salvador was also an Indiana Harbor Little League Baseball Coach and Bishop Noll Institute Boys and Girls Soccer Coach.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Carmelite Home for Girls would be appreciated.  To share a memory or send a permanent online condolence, please logon to:  www.fifefuneralhome.com
