Mary (Blanco) Jimenez, age 92 of Hammond, IN formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 gracefully at home.  She is mother of 4 children: Frank (Patricia) Jimenez, Sandra (Alex) Garza, Ricky Jimenez and late Anthony “Tony” Jimenez; 9 grandchildren: Frankie, David (Rebecca), Justin and Jay Jimenez, Susan (Mark) Gonzalez and Noah Garza, Gina (Saul) Avila, Ricky,  (Hayley) Jimenez and Evan Jimenez; great grandchildren: Emeterio, Alycia and Cayden Jimenez, Alaina (Lance), Jordan and Skye Garza, Marcelo Gonzalez, Ella, Drew and Xavier Avila, Savana, Rylan, Ricky and Cristian Jimenez; brothers: Armando (Carmen) Blanco and Robert (late Jean) Blanco; sisters: Rose (late Felix) Vasquez and Frances (Alberto) Minjarez; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents, Eluterio and Hilaria Blanco; husband, Emeterio “Tito” Jimenez, Jr.; son, Anthony “Tony” Jimenez; siblings: David (late Mary Frances), Jose (late Clemencia) Blanco and Ricardo Blanco; sisters: Connie (late Antonio) Urbina, Lupe Blanco and Linda Adair;

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Stanislaus Church, 808 West 150th Street, East Chicago, IN with Msgr. John Siekierski officiating.  Entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Church on Tuesday morning.

Mary loved her family and friends deeply and she was loved very much.  She showed her love by cooking her special dishes for everyone.  She enjoyed dancing the night away with her husband, "Tito", travelling through town and going to the segundas. She cared for grandchildren and her son, Tony with all her heart.  She loved to share her life stories, reminiscing about all the special moments in her life and sharing her kindness through small gifts.
