Florence Marie Matison

Florence Marie Matison of East Chicago, IN passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by parents, George and Emma (nee Boudi) Matison; siblings: Theresa Popa, George Matison, Emma (late John) Zagar, Danny Matison, Baby Louie Matison and Eleanor (late Leroy) Zerkel;

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 12:00 noon at St. Nicholas Romanian Catholic Church, 4308 Olcott Avenue, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Fr. Alin N. Dogaru officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.

A life-long resident of East Chicago and lifetime member of St. Nicholas Romanian Catholic Church; a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #369.  Flo and her family were caretakers of St. Nicholas Church for many years.  She was a motherly caregiver and “Aunt Flo” to everyone.  She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
