Javier Quinones, age 81 of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosa M. Quinones; daughter, Nancy (Santiago) Velez; 5 grandchildren: Sonia, Michael, Corryne, Santiago and Samantha;  3 great grandchildren: Bianca, Miklo and Santiago; siblings: Rosa, Margarita, Emerito, Filomeno and Ramon; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by parents, Rosendo and Julia Quinones; daughter, Iris Rojas; son, Luis Quinones; grandson, Francisco M. Rojas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church, 3802 Grand Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. David G. Nowak officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2017 and from 9:30 am until time of Mass at the Church on Tuesday morning.
