Joseph K. Jones

Joseph K. Jones, passed away suddenly at age 50 on February 1, 2018 at home.  Joe is survived by his wife, Lori (Haluska) Jones; son, Jordon; daughter, Sabrina; mother, Karen (Demkowicz) Stevens; father, John (Hope) Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law; Alfred and Diane Haluska; brother, Randy (Irene) Jones; sisters:   Nathalie (Mike) Holiday and Victoria Stevens; and 16 nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by son, Brandon J. Jones; sister, Vanessa Kubiszewski; and step-father, Dennis Stevens.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.  Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 5;00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. 

We remember his love and talent for so many things including the great outdoors at his summer home with his family; he was a committed hunter and skilled fisherman; we will remember from a young age his talent for baseball and becoming a little league coach.  Joe also was an expert craftsman; specializing in mechanical and auto body repair.  When something needed to be fixed, Joe knew exactly what to do and asked nothing in return.  Joe had a zest for life; loved outdoor activities with his family; and he lived life to the fullest. Joe graduated in 1985 from Roosevelt “Rough Riders” High School in East Chicago; attended Ivy Tech; and an HVAC graduate of ETI.   Joe was manager of the Wicker Park golf course for many years; then went on to work many more years as a mechanic and auto body specialist.  Joe meant the world to his family and he lit up their lives and hearts.  Although now gone, he will never be forgotten; we shall remember the honest and loving man that was Joe.  To share a memory or send a permanent online condolence, logon to: www.fifefuneralhome.com
