Lorraine A. (Misiora) Stasek

Lorraine A. Stasek (nee Misiora), age 86 of East Chicago, IN passed away Friday, June 8, 2018.  She is survived by 4 children: Diane (Eric) Stirratt, Charles Stasek, Jr., John Charles Stasek and Ruthanne (Rick) Apuzzo; 8 grandchildren: Tracy, Tammy and Amanda Stirratt, Sarah and Nick Stasek and Ricky, Ron and Ryan Apuzzo; 2 great grandchildren; brother, John Misiora; sister, Katherine Zwoll; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stasek in 1993; brother, Leon Misiora; sister, Mary Ann Monday; grandson, Terry Stirratt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Stanislaus Church, 808 West 150th Street, East Chicago, IN with Msgr. Joseph Semancik officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation will from 9:00 am until time of Mass at the Church on Tuesday morning.

Lorraine received a Masters in Education and was a retired teacher in the East Chicago Perochial Schools, she also taught Sunday School and was a Cub Scout leader, Boy Scout leader and Girl Scout leader.  She made the Who’s Who in American Education in editions 1994 & 1995.  Lorraine was a longtime member of the former Sacred Heart Church in East Chicago.
