Lupe (Medina) Berrones

Lupe Berrones, age 88 of Hammond, IN passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at home.  Lupe is survived by her husband of 40 years, Arturo Serrano; 5 children: late Daniel (Joanne) Berrones, Rosemary (Carlos) Salinas, Yolanda (late Gerald) Earl, Henry (Cathy) Berrones, and Eduardo Berrones; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sisters: late Consuelo Medina, Refugio Medina, Rosalba Medina and Emma (Sostenes) Palomo; brothers: late Carlos, late Teodoro, late Jose, late Fidel and late Enrique Medina; numerous nieces and nephews.                                                                                           

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, 144th Street at Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev.  Nestor Varon officiating.  Interment private.  Visitation will be on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.

Lupe was former employee at Pepe’s Restaurant in Griffith, IN for 18 years, a job she took great pride in.  She was the Matriarch of the family whom she loved dearly and was loved in return.
