Mariano L. Rodriguez

Mariano L. Rodriguez, age 77 of East Chicago, IN passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria Rodriguez; 7 children: Mariano (Jacqueline) Luyando, Maria (Heriberto) Maldonado, Gloria Luyando, Mercedes (Alfredo) Malaves, Kathy Irizarry (and her three children), Santos Irizarry (and his child) and Edmindo Estrella (and his four children); 12 grandchildren: Mike (Kenra), Annette and Luis; Yvette, Rosemary and Jessica; Amanda, Jasmine (Mika) and Delila; Lisa, Virginia, Mariano III and late Tony;18 great--grandchildren:  Destiny, Dejalae, Eleiah, Miyah, Isaiah, Inocencio, Mike, Mercedes, Eric, Aliana, Emani, Marian, Carlos, Amani, Cerenity, Kameron, Yesenia, and Antonio; and 4 great-great-grandchildren:  Christain, Ayden, Honesti and Lay'Lani; brother,  Luis (Millie) Rodriguez; nieces:  Wanda (Ivan) Rodriguez, Lisa (Milagros) and Miriam Rodriguez (and her three children).  Preceded in death by mother, Rosario Rodriguez and brother, Eloy Rodriguez

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 9:00 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Nestor Varon officiating.  Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage, IN.  Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 and from 8:30 am until time of Mass at the Church on Wednesday morning.
