Peter T. Vargas

Peter T. Vargas “Uncle Skeeter”, age 56 of Hammond, IN passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at home.  He is survived by his mother, Margarita (late Jose) Morales; siblings: Laura (Eligio) Reyes, Sylvia Vargas and David (Virginia) Vargas; nieces and nephews: Stella, Martha, Lexie, Rick, Marcy (Johnny), Angie, Ashley, Freddy, Toni, Adeana and David, Jr.; many grand nieces and grand nephews that he considered his own and loved very much.  Preceded in death by his father Pedro Vargas; brother, Raul Vargas; grand nephew, “Baby Ricky”.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 13, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Stanislaus Church, 808 West 150th Street, East Chicago, IN with Msgr. John Siekierski officiating.  Burial to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2019 and from 9:30 am until time of Mass at the Church on Friday morning.  Msgr. Siekierski will hold prayer services 5:00 pm at the funeral home on Thursday.
