Rafael Martinez Sida, age 64 of Chicago, IL (Roseland), passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019.  He is survived by his wife, Maria Trinidad Martinez; 2 children: Rafael Martinez, Jr. and Veronica Martinez; siblings: Salvador Martinez, Maria Martinez, Jose de Jesus Martinez, Esteban Martinez, Bernarda Martinez, Hilario Martinez, Rosa I. Martinez and Ramon Martinez; many nieces, nephews and relatives.  Preceded in death by his father, Bernardo Martinez Garcia  and mother, Juana Sida de Martinez.

Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Services at 7:00 pm on Tuesday with Deacon Juan Rodriguez, officiating.  Funeral and Burial will be held in Los Herreras, Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico.

Rafael was a hardworking, loving husband, father and brother.  He was a laid back peaceful family oriented man and a devoted catholic. He had many jobs, but retired as a grounds maintenance worker with Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island, IL after 15 years.
