Reginald James Scott, age 41 of Hammond, IN passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017.  He is survived by his mother, Catherine Coburn; siblings: Vonetta (William) Tabor, Madgeline (Johnie) Hamilton, Anthony (Mary) Jones and Cleve Dilworth; nieces: Jasmine and Jaime Scott, Danielle Ingram, Amera Nunez; nephews: Darius Hamilton and Dasean Hamilton; great-niece, Alii Nunez;  aunts, Mary (David) Weston and Patricia Brown; life partner, Thomas Rice; and numerous cousins.  Preceded in death by father, James Allen Scott, Jr.; paternal grandparents, James Allen Scott, Sr. and Effie Scott.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 10:00 am at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Pastor Thaddeus T. Brown of the Father's Heart Church in Gary, IN officiating.  Private cremation to follow. Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 8, 2017.
