Robert J. Chabes, age 41 of Gary, IN passed away Monday, November 18, 2019. He is survived by his daughter, Cassidy Mebert; mother, Yolanda Chabes; 4 brothers: Blas (Monique) Lara, Jesse Chabes, Michael (April) Chabes and Richard (Maryann) Chabes; 4 sisters: Yvonne Rivera, Elaine (Runalfo) Lopez Martinez, Guadalupe Walker and Nancy (Daniel) Leija; special pet companion, “Bo”; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Jesse B. Chabes.

Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2019. Private cremation to follow.
