Rosa I. Galvez-Cortez, age 62 of East Chicago, IN passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at home.  She is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Juan Guzman) Galvez; 5 grandchildren: Michael, Juanito, Elizabeth, James and Kayla; 5 sisters: Elva (Alfonso) Semadeni, late Belia Galvez, Noema Galvez, Irene (late George) Zepeda, Olga Gonzalez and Tomi (Daniel) Govea; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by parents, Tomas and Alicia Galvez.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN .  Services will be held at 8:00 pm.Friday.  Private interment will be held at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN.
