Ruben F. Ramos, age 81 of East Chicago, IN passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary L. Ramos; 6 children: Cresencio (Laura) Ramos, Enrique (late Marlene) Ramos, Stephanie Ramos, Ruben (Lilia) Ramos, Jr., Alexandra Ramos and Christine (Mark) DeJesus; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughters; siblings: Geraldo Ramos, Mary Vasquez, Hortencia Vasquez and Andrea Lara; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Andres and Julia (Flores) Ramos.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:30 am from FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN and 11:00 am Mass at St. Patrick Church, East Chicago, IN with Rev. David Nowak officiating.  Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 9:00 am to 10:30 am on Monday morning.

Ruben retired from Inland Steel Company and was a member of the Inland 25 year club. He was an Indiana Harbor Little League Baseball Coach.  Ruben was loved and adored by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his dog “Lucky” and he will dearly missed.
