Alfonsa "Conchita" (Trejo) Villarreal

Alfonsa "Conchita" Villarreal (nee Trejo), age 92 of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026.  She is survived by 5 children:  Jose (Jennifer) Villarreal, Gloria Villarreal, Dora (Porfirio) Nava, Juan Carlos (Martha) Villarreal, and Armando (Mirabel) Villarreal; 15 grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: Elena, Enedina, Yolanda, Lalo, and Javier; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband, Juan C. Villarreal (2023); parents, Julio and Paulina (Rosales) Trejo; siblings: Maria, Reynaldo, Abel, and Ramiro.

Private cremation services were provided by FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.

Alfonsa lived every day of her life for her family; she adored her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She loved cooking for her family and sending a plate of food on holidays to her neighbors.  She loved flowers/gardening and absolutely adored her grandchildren.  She was the matriarch of the family, wise, kind, very giving, and very faithful.  Her wisdom, guidance and strength were unmatched.  She held her family together through love and tradition.  To share an online condolence, logon to www.fifefuneralhome.com
