Alfonso Guadalupe Ortega, Sr.

Alfonso Guadalupe Ortega, Sr., age 82 of East Chicago, IN passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at home.  He is survived by his wife, Irene Ortega; 6 children: Alfonso (fiancée Teresa Fuentes) Ortega, Stella Ortega Bribiesca, Belinda (David) Colon, Christina Ortega, Daniel Ortega and Alonzo Ortega; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Eliseo Oropesa and Robert Ortega; sister Juanita Ortega; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by mother, Ramona Diaz Vargas; sisters, Ramona Ortega and Margarita Von Hatten.

Private Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.  Private Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.  Visitation for family and friends will be at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.  The American Legion Allied Post #369 will post colors  6:00 pm.
