Alfredo Z. Ramirez

Alfredo Z. Ramirez, age 88 of East Chicago, IN passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 peacefully at home.  He is survived by 3 daughters: Esther (Carlos) Sandoval, Sylvia (late Melchor) Eloisa and Eloise Ramirez; 9 grandchildren: Julissa (Daniel) Squire, Daniella (Edwin) Sosby and Amanda (Fernando) Carvajal, Jonathan, Adrian, Steven and Cristian Eloisa, Marisa Paz and Julian Alfredo Ramirez; 2 great grandchildren: Lucien and Elora Sosby; siblings: late Alfonso (late Estela) Ramirez, Alicia Ramirez and late twin Alberto Ramirez; nieces and nephews; and many godchildren and Compadres.  Preceded in death by his loving wife of 34 years, Guadalupe (Dominguez) Ramirez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church, 3802 Grand Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Diego Florez officiating.  Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.will be from 4;00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 and from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at the Church on Wednesday morning.

Alfredo retired from Inland Steel Company after 35 years of service and later was an employee of the Lake County Clerk’s Office for 16 years.
