Alice "Licha" (Rodriguez) Gamez

Alice “Licha” Gamez (nee Rodriguez), age 89 of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at home.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ignacio; son, Paul; sisters: Rita, Ernestina, Guadalupe, Mary, Angelina, Evangelina, and Norma; brothers, Servando and Rogelio;  She is survived by her sons,  Mark and Michael;  granddaughter, Jasmyne; sister, Theodora; brother, Juan Jose; many nieces and nephews.  Special thanks to Irene and Ray Robles, Cindy and Janet Gamez, Christina Gamez and Rosie Quiroz who were always there for her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Diego Florez officiating.  Burial to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 and from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at the Church on Thursday morning.
