Alicia D. (Davila) Ramos

Alicia Ramos, 91 of East Chicago, IN., passed away Wednesday August  28th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years  Roman Ramos. She is survived by  3 children: Jesus (Hilda) Ramos, Maria (Ramos) Carrizales, and Jorge (Linda) Ramos; six grandchildren: Vicki (Chris) Siebanoller, Jessica Ramos, Vanessa Ramos, Alexis Carrizales, Xavier Carrizales and Sara Ramos; two great-grandchildren: Jacob Farner and Nevaeh Bartlett; and brother, Mario Davila.  Preceded in death by her parents, Domingo  and Juanita Davila; brothers: Jesus Davila, Antonio Davila, and Raul Davila and sisters-in-law: Elena (Garcia) Davila and Rosa (Guzman) Davila. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday , September 4, 2024 at 10:00 am at FIFE FUNERALHOME 4201 Indianapolis Boulevard, East Chicago, IN with Deacon Juan Rodriguez officiating. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana. Visitation will be on Tuesday September 3, 2024  from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME.

Alicia was a homemaker and spent the majority of her time raising and caring for her family. She was a foody and loved spending her time in the kitchen and perfecting her homemade recipes. She took much pride and honor knowing she was the best cook in the neighborhood. Having people gather and watch people enjoying  her meals  brought her much happiness. She  was a fan of boxing and enjoyed watching reruns of many classic boxing matchups . The beauty of the outdoors brought her much joy as she loved flowers. She was an avid cat lover and enjoyed feeding and caring for cats in the neighborhood and loving cats in the home. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Second Chance 4 Pets Network.
