Amelia C. Rubi

Amelia C. Rubi, age 34 of East Chicago, IN passed away Monday, October 28, 2024 at home.  She is survived by her mother, Michaelene Rubi; 2 brothers, Christopher and Joshua Rubi; maternal grandmother, Patricia Lipkovitch; aunt, Charlene (Dana) Glackin; uncle, Brian Lipkovitch; godmother, Evelyn Camacho Brito; close friends: Melody Karoustas, Rachel Nowacki and numerous other friends.  Preceded in death by her son, Angel Rubi; maternal grandfather, Richard Lipkovitch;  uncle, Kenneth Lipkovitch; siblings, Abraham and Bianca Rubi; maternal great grandparents, Amelia and Matthew Witczak; pet corgi “Roscoe”.

Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.  Private cremation to follow.

Amelia was a graduate of St. Mary Grade School, East Chicago, IN and Bishop Noll Institute class of 2008.  She attended Ball State University and graduated from Purdue University where she studied Hospitality and Tourism Management.   Amelia was employed at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, Hammond, IN and Lost Marsh Golf Course, Hammond, IN.
