Antonia “Momma” (Garcia) White
Antonia Marie White, 80, who loved to be called “Momma” by her kids, departed her loving family on August 29, 2023.
Antonia (aka Taco Toni) was born in Emporia, KS, on June 8, 1943, to Juan and Guadalupe Garcia.
She was devoted to the love of her life, Robert (Corky) White. She was mother to Richard Jacobs, Patti (Douglas) Rowe, Michael Jacobs, Lisa (Robert) Pratt, and Daniel (Denise) Jacobs. She raised her children with love, appreciation for togetherness, and family unity in Cable, WI and Rockford, IL with her husband Corky White and their father, Thomas Jacobs (deceased).
Momma and Corky spent years after the passing of his parents, Richard and Esther White, managing Mortenson’s Resort. Also, as the former Town Clerk for the Town of Cable, Wisconsin, she enjoyed helping the community in various volunteer activities. While in Rockford, she spent years at Ingersoll Milling, John S. Barnes and Montgomery Ward. Her most loved memories were spent on and around Lake Namakagon, Cable, WI, with her dedicated family and very loving friends. She was an avid dog lover and always fed ‘the deer’.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Corky) White, and her children. She was delighted to be a grandmother to Jenna, Rachel and Ellyn Jacobs, Dallas (Samantha) Rowe, Bailey Rowe, Brittni Pratt, Miranda Pratt, and Ashley Jury. And her great grandchildren, Lincoln Rowe, Alice Rowe, and Charlee Cooper.
Aside from the children she cared deeply about, Antonia is survived by her siblings, Manuel (Priscilla) Garcia, Maria Elisa Garcia, Barbara Garcia Perez, Juanita Caraballo, George Garcia, Christina (Robert) Martinez,
Raul (Elsa) Martinez, Maria Luz (Julio) Casares, Marissa (Kenneth Alford) Peck, Tresa Lertola, and Richard White, her brother-in-law.
