Antonio Navarro Gil, age 79, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2026 at home.  Antonio is survived by his wife, Rosa Navarro; 6 children:  Antonio Navarro Camacho, Enrique Navarro Camacho, Gregorio Navarro Camacho, Ruben Navarro Camacho, Maria Guadalupe Navarro Camacho, and Juan M. Navarro Camacho; 21 grandchildren:  Enrique Navarro, Jr., Celene Navarro, Gregorio Navarro, Andrea Navarro, Martin Navarro, Fabian Romero, Alondra Navarro, M. Guadalupe Navarro, Noemi Navarro, Mauricio Navarro, Javier Navarro, Ruben Navarro, Alexis Navarro, Michelle Romero, Jesus A. Navarro, Adrian Navarro, Gennesis C. Navarro, Selene Navarro, America Navarro, Alexa Romero and Elizabeth Navarro; 17 great grandchildren:  Casandra, Emily Rose, Dominic, Sophia, Martin, Ruth, Nicolas, Emori, Dalia, Olivia, Leonardo, Emma Lucia, Izrael, Catalina, Sophia, Mili and Santiago.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 12:30 pm at St. Mary Church, Indianapolis Boulevard at 144th Street, East Chicago, Indiana with Rev. Julio C. Bedoya officiating.  Burial to take place at Panteón de Guadalupe, La Esperanza, Michoacan, Mexico.  Visitation will be on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, Indiana; and on Saturday, from 12:00 noon until the time of the Mass at 12:30 pm at Church.
