Armando (Lilman) Velasquez of East Chicago, IN was born on January 16th, 2005, to Victoria Aguilar and Armando Velasquez Sr. Raised by his stepfather, David Pyle Jr., he had three younger sisters, Mya Pyle, Tatiana Pyle, and Lola Pyle. Armando had a pet, Nyla which was his fur baby. He was the only boy among eight maternal grandchildren, with sisters. (Cousins)Anissa Aguilar, Aleah Aguilar, Alilah Aguilar, and Isabella Aguilar. On his father's side, he had four including Tatiana Espinoza, Victoria Espinoza, and Jesus Espinoza Jr. Surviving grandmother Ruby Aguilar great grandmother Dominga Camarillo and stepped in grandmother Leticia Pyle. Armando was supported by his uncles, Jose Aguilar, Francisco Aguilar Jr., Armando Aguilar (Chaleaya), and Daniel Pyle (Diane), as well as his aunts, Yvette Espinoza (Jesus Sr.) and Amanda Velasquez. During high school, Armando participated in the HAPA band, track, soccer, and baseball at Morton High School. He was an enthusiastic fan of baseball games, especially when the Astros played in Chicago. Armando enjoyed various hobbies, including dirt bike riding, four-wheeling, fishing, and working on cars, often with his friends and godbrother, Jamie Williams. Although he had knowledge of car mechanics and house construction, Armando took great pleasure in helping others with his expertise. He also attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Gary with his mother sister and Lynn Hill. Having the great pleasure of Ray Tucker(Amy) as his pastor. He will be deeply missed by many family members and lots of friends, he will be joined by Francisco Aguilar Sr., Victoria Camarillo, David Velasquez, David Pyle Sr., and the family dog, Deuce.
Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Private cremation to follow. Pastor Ray Tucker will hold services at 4:00 pm on Tuesday.
