Aurora (Medina) Madrigal

Aurora Madrigal, 81, was a devoted wife, proud mother, and adoring grandmother. Preceded in death by the love of her life, Luis R. Madrigal, to whom she was married to for 50 years; parents Crispin Medina and Angelina Reyes; sisters Amalia (Sebastian) Medina, and Otilia (Luis) Madrigal. God blessed her with her daughter Alejandra and son Luis (Siennie) Madrigal. Born to Alejandra were Aurora’s most joyful gifts, grandchildren Caroline and Alex Rosales. Aurora had 11 brothers and sisters and is survived by 9 of them; Abigail Menchaca, Trina (Lupe) Gutierrez, Maria Elena (David) Reyna, Herlinda (Lalo) Santana, Lidia (Eleazer) Bernal, Victor (Irma) Medina, Francisco (Eva) Medina, Leticia (Carlos) Herrejon, and Maria de los Angeles (Abel) Herrera.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Aurora’s special friend and caregiver Violeta Brabazon. Aurora enjoyed gardening with her husband, family barbecues, and was an exceptional cook. She was a never-ending source of strength to her family and touched many with her kindness and compassion. 

And now after 11 long years apart, Aurora is joined again with the love of her life. Together they rest in eternal peace.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Stanislaus Church, 808 West 150th Street, East Chicago, IN with Msgr. John Siekierski officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.will be from 4;00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 and from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the Church on Thursday morning. To share an online condolence, logon to www.fifefuneralhome.com
