Carmen (Mauricio) Lira

Carmen Lira, age 84 of East Chicago, IN passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at home. She is survived by 3 children: Araceli Lira, Guadalupe Lira and Raul (Maribel Flores) Lira; 4 grandchildren: Lauro (Jovita) Reyes, Augustin Delgado, Kayla Pizano and Ezra Xavier Lira; 7 great grandchildren:, Khalia Jade Reyes, Lauro Reyes IV, Estevan Eduardo Gonzalez, KAI-el Reyes, Augustin Delgado, Candice Nicole Delgado, and Soki Delgado; great great granddaughter: Katalina Serna; sister, Maria; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Lira; 3 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Nestor Varon and Rev. Julio C. Beddya officiating.  Burial to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Church on Tuesday morning.
