Clifford Eugene “Gene” Gualandi, age 86 of Munster, IN passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023. He is survived by 4 daughters: Regina (Joseph) Kirincic, Tina (Darrell) Paymaster, Laura (late Allen) Greathouse and Juanita Gualandi; 4 grandchildren: Christopher Kirincic, Amanda (Jeremy) Steffey, Nicole Kirincic and Kavan Gualandi; 2 great grandchildren, Lilah Christine Kirincic and Roman Joseph Herrera; 2 sisters, Rose (late Larry) Monak and Marisa (David) Jillson; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth C. “Betty” Gualandi; son, Ernest Eugene Gualandi; 2 brothers, Dale and Larry (late Joan) Gualandi.
Gene retired from Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company after 30 years of service. He was a 50+ years Scottish Rite 32 degree member of the Indiana Harbor Masonic Lodge #686 and a member of the Orak Shrine. Gene earned an Associate’s Degree from Purdue Calumet, Hammond, IN. He enjoyed fishing and never missed a Monday meeting with Wally and Stasny.
Masonic services will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 at 10:00 am at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2023 and from 9:30 am to 10:00 am Friday morning.
