Cynthia L. (Cisneros) Aguilar

Cynthia L. Aguilar (Cisneros), age 66 of Griffith, IN passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at home.  She is survived by her 3 children: Salvador (Brittany) Aguilar, Adrianna (David) Gonzalez and Sofia (Nicholas) Chittenden; 6 grandchildren: Lillian B. Chittenden, Lora R. Chittenden, Luis A. Aguilar, Alexander J. Gonzalez, Lea C. L. Chittenden, and Gianna V. Aguilar; father, Jose Cisneros; siblings: late Maria Lara, Jose Cisneros, Jr., late Teresa Montemayor, Roberto Cisneros, and Reynaldo Cisneros; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband, Luis A. Aguilar (2018); mother, Lucia Cisneros (Escamilla).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Jonathan Castelblanco officiating.  Private cremation to follow.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the Church on Friday morning.

Cynthia was a retired Registered Nurse, a loving mother, doting grandmother, beloved cousin and a good friend to many.  Her days were filled with love and laughter as she cherished every moment spent with her grandbabies.  Her memory will live forever in the hearts and memories of all her loved ones.
