David J. Lopez

David J. Lopez, of Gary, Indiana passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at home.  David J. Lopez was buried along side his wife, Mary K. Lopez at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois on 12 November 2025.  She predeceased David on 29 March 2024 and her cremains were placed in David's casket. David passed away at the age of 80.  He was a Chicago Union Carpenter for 35 years and continued to work with his hands until he died.  He was also preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers and sisters:  Jesus, Maria, Mary Ellen, Daniel and Richard.  David is survived by his sister, Esther; children: Melanie, Raya, David, Anthony, Scott, John and Jennifer; and many grandchildren.
