David Ortiz

David Ortiz, age 47, of East Chicago, Indiana, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025.  David is survived by his mother, Julia (nee Rodriguez) Ortiz; 2 brothers: Julio C. Ortiz and Adrian (Tashunda Monique) Ortiz; and nephew, Seth Angel Ortiz;.  Preceded in death by his father, Julio Ortiz.

David was a great foster brother to many foster children over the years; He always set a good example for the children and they loved him dearly.  David had a passion for the arts, especially break-dancing and experimenting with different foods. He was a master trainer at Lear Corporation in Hammond, where his co-workers respected and loved him very much.

A Celebration of David's life will be held at a later date.
