Dawn E. Mast

Dawn Elizabeth Mast, age 67, of Merrillville Indiana, passed away on October 12, 2025.

Born in Goshen, Indiana, Dawn lived a vibrant and full life filled with creativity, kindness, and laughter. A devoted partner, mother, grandmother, and sister, she is survived by her longtime spouse, Michael; her two beloved daughters, Angelina and Angela; seven cherished grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters who shared in her life’s journey.

Dawn had an adventurous spirit that led her to call many places home over the years, including Chicago and Ohio. She loved to travel, always eager to experience new places, meet new people, and find inspiration wherever she went. No matter where life took her, she carried her warmth, humor, and free spirit with her.

An entrepreneur with a creative soul, Dawn’s greatest calling was as a stay-at-home mother, where she poured her heart into raising her family and creating a home filled with love and laughter. She had a passion for gardening, shopping, and people-watching, and she delighted in the simple joys of life.

Dawn was known for her kind and generous heart — always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. She was a free spirit who broke societal norms and lived authentically, inspiring those around her to do the same. An artist with a sharp wit and a sense of humor to match, she brought light and laughter to everyone she met.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends. Dawn now joins her father, mother and sister and endless friends and family in eternal peace, reunited in love. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be missed more than words can describe.
