Diego Villa, age 18, of East Chicago, IN, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023. Diego is survived by his parents: Mayra and Ubaldo Villa; 3 sisters: Nancy Villa, Evelyn Villa and Diana Villa; one brother, Ubaldo Villa; grandparents: Margarita Cedeno, Joaquin Cedeno, Reyes Villa and Eduvelia Villa; aunts and uncles: Erika Cedeno, Veronica Cedeno, Norma Cedeno, Maria Luna, Adriana Bell, Carlos Cedeno, Joaquin Cedeno, Eric K. Villasenor, Ivan Villasenor, Amalinalli Villasenor, Noe Villa, Leon Cedeno, Belinda Hermosillo, David Luna, Gerardo Meza; cousins: Sarahi Bastida, James Bell and Alexis Bastida; Godparents: Luz Gutierrez and Alfredo Gutierrez; numerous family in Mexico; and numerous cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Church, Indianapolis Blvd., at 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Padre Nestor Varon, officiating. Private Cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN,(Note: due to construction on Indianapolis Boulevard, please use Railroad, Tod, or Olcott Avenues to 142nd Street) and on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 10:30 until the time of the Mass at 11:00 am at Church.
Diego was a senior at East Chicago Central High School and worked part-time at McDonald’s in Calumet City, IL. Diego liked to play basketball and Nintendo; he loved banda music and also liked to spend time in the gym. He was loved very much by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
