Dixie Anne (Currier) Miller

Dixie Anne Miller (nee Currier), age 64 of Hammond, IN passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023.  She is survived by 2 brothers, Dennis Ziemkowski and John Watson; nieces and nephews: Keith (Latanya) Dillon, Joanne (Michael) Osterman, Karen (Timothy) Creech, Teresa (Jim) Nichols, Angela Ziemkowski and Rayann (Anthony) Skinner;  great nieces and nephews: Dennis Wright and Shyanne Wright, Kayla Nichols, Brittany Nichols and Benjamin Nichols, Sierra Skinner, Zacharay Skinner, Greyson Skinner and Avaleigh Skinner; many great great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, James and Anne Currier; husband, Jimmy Miller; 3 brothers, Timothy Ziemkowski, James and Ray Currier; great nieces, Evelyn Creech and Stephanie Wright.

Private cremation was provided by FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Dixie took much pride and joy in nursing and teaching.  Her career and students were everything to her.  She truly made a difference in every life she came in to contact with.
