Eufemia R. (Roman) Delgado

Eufemia R. Delgado, age 77 of Hammond, IN formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at home.  She is survived by her first love and only love, her husband of 57 years, Angel M. Delgado, Sr.; 4 children: Myra Ortega, Angel M. Delgado Jr., Dennis Delgado, and Nadia Rivera; 2 grandchildren: Julian Rivera, and one soon-to-be baby boy or girl.

Eufemia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She believed deeply in the Lord and was a strong woman of faith.  Eufemia suffered from many ailments in her life, but she carried her cross with conviction, devotion, and humility.  Her light continues to shine brightly in those who loved her most, as an example of how we are to endure earthly suffering, for heavenly gain.  Eufemia’s memory and shared wisdom continues to guide and inspire those who knew her well.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond, IN with Rev. Charles A. Mosley officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 and from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at the Church on Friday morning.  To share an online condolence, logon to www.fifefuneralhome.com
