Ezequiel Garcia Hernandez, age 86 of Hammond, IN passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022.  He is survived by 5 children: Maria Elizabeth (Mario) Soriano, Maria del Rocio Garcia, Elias Moises Garcia, Ezequiel (Rosalinda) Garcia and Fernando (Nereida) Garcia; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters.  Preceded in death by his wife, Paula Vergara de Garcia.

Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, December 26, 2022 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Jaime Perea officiating.  Private cremation to follow. Interment of cremains will be held in Mexico at a later date.
