Feliza Salazar

Feliza Salazar, age 82, of Hammond, Indiana passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at home.  Feliza is survived by 6 children:  Maritzza Cruz, Daniel (Maria) Salazar, Jr., Oscar (Lorena) Salazar, Araceli Salazar, Hector (Jenoveva) Salazar and Sergio (Marisa) Salazar; 13 grandchildren:  Jacqueline, Giovanni, Daniel III, Shayla, Jonathon, Yezzid, Salma, Brandon, Cristian, Julian, Yezenia, Sadie and Matteo; 2 great grandsons:  Ethan and Devon; sister, Gabriella Salas. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Julio Bedoya officiating.  Interment to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  

Feliza was a loving, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always there when we needed her. She had a passion for gardening and loved to make her surroundings bright and beautiful.  She was a woman of faith.  Praying the rosary is an inheritance that will be passed for generations to come.
San Martin de Porres was her favorite intercessor at key moments in her life.
She will be missed by her sister and three generations of children.
