Frank Baisley

Frank Baisley, age 73 of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Maria Baisley: 2 children, Steven and Erica, siblings Victor and Nora, 7 grandchildren, Isaiah, Alfredo, Angelo, Elijah, Ian, Alexis, Evangelina, 2 nephews, George, and Michael, 4 nieces Elizabeth, Freedom, Vanessa, and Bianca. Preceded in death by his parents Walter, Maria G, brother John, sister-in-law Irene, brother-in-law, Victor "Chili" Torres, and son in law Alfredo G Herrera.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Luis Ferneidy Iral Cardona officiating.  Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 and from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at the Church on Wednesday morning.

Frank was a devoted Catholic, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Spending time with his family far and near was the most important thing to him. He had a vibrant personality and a great love for his Mexican culture from food, dance, art, and music. Anyone that knew him knew he was sure to find treasures at yard sales and flea markets to add to his remarkable antique collection. During the warm months he took pride in maintaining an immaculate yard boasting beautiful flowers and plants.  Frank retired from Arcelor-Mittal Steel Company (Inland Steel Co.) in 2003.
