Gabriel Ortega Jimenez, age 35 of Hammond, IN passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at home.  He is survived by his parents, Gabriel Ortega Ortega and Maria de Jesus Jimenez Gonzalez; 2 brothers: Victor Ortega and Antonio Ortega; 5 sisters: Ana G. (Salvador) Jimenez, Amelia Ortega, Veronica Ortega, Sylvia Ortega and Lorena Ortega; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his brother, Juan Ortega and Jose Luis Ortega.

Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.  Father Nestor Varon will have a prayer service at 4:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Funeral and Burial will be held in Jamay, Jalisco, Mexico.
